Come join the Gulf Shores based L.A. Fleet Feet Running Club and enjoy a fun-filled morning at The Hangout. All the courses border Big Lagoon heading out and return along the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Packet pick-up is at The Hangout on Friday, Feb. 10 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 11 from 7-8:30 a.m. Registration is $25 in advance, $30.00 on race day.

18th Annual Pirates of Lost Treasure Piratefest Parade and Buccaneer Bash
Perdido Key’s Holiday Harbor Marina, Sat. Feb 11, 10:45 a.m.
Pirates and wenches leave Perdido Key’s Holiday Harbor Marina visiting The Sunset Grill, Perdido Key Oyster Bar, Perdido Bay Seafood, Galvez Landing and finally dropping anchor and raiding the FloraBama. The Buccaneer Bash begins at the Flora-Bama at 1:30 p.m.

Skins Games slated 1st Sunday of the month
City of Orange Beach Golf Center, 1st Sunday of the Month, 1 pm
The Skins games are a fall and winter favorite amongst locals and visitors alike. Everyone is welcome, golfers gather at the pro shop at 1 p.m. to register. The shot gun start is at 1:30 p.m. $22 for non members and $5 for members. Each hole is an opportunity to win $250! Golf Center is located off of Canal Road, behind Duck’s Diner. The Course is open daily 7am to 5pm and has a lighted Driving Range. Call 251-981-4653

“Worship on the Water’’
Music Tents at the Flora-Bama, Every Sunday, 11am
Sunday church service and bushwackers are not phrases usually found in the same sentence, but it's not uncommon to see a few early patrons, drinks in hand, make their way towards the back of this casual service. Gospel songs are led by Jason Justice, a respected local entertainer/songwriter. It usually lasts an hour, depending on where the spirit leads and where the songs go.

Bubba & Them means bluegrass at Original Point
The Original Point Restaurant in Perdido Key, Every weekend.
For the past 21 years, they’ve been playing bluegrass music every weekend at the Original Point Restaurant. Featuring tight vocal harmonies and former Alabama state champion fiddler Gaylord Brisbin, the “Bubba” in Bubba and Them is actually a female, mandolin player Robin Kingry. Rounding out the band are Ray Smith on banjo and the father/daughter team of Norman Jeter on guitar and Anna Jeter on stand up bass.
